I have been reading some other book lists from other classic club members, and have already found some other favourite classic authors that I will most likely swap out some books with.
Authors such as
Gene Stratton Porter
Arthur C. Clarke
James Alexander Thom
James Michener
Louis L'Amour
Arthur Ransome
Laura Ingalls Wilder
Agatha Christie and
Katherine Kurtz.
Oh, Gene Stratton Porter is a good author! A bit dated maybe, but still holds up. My mother gave me one of hers, and I loved it - Girl of the Limberlost, I think it was called. I'm thinking of reading some Katherine Kurtz too, and Laura Ingalls Wilder is soooo good. One of my favourite series growing up. There is a new biography out of her too, by the way, which is so popular that it keeps selling out. I'm going to try to get it.
