I've read The Girl of the Limberlost but I hadn't heard of Moths of the Limberlost. I'll have to check it out. I have both The Canterbury Tales and Emma to read this year but they didn't come up on my Spin. I hope you have a great spin and get the book that you want.
ReplyDeleteHuh! Is Moths of the Limberlost nonfiction? I have read A Girl of the Limberlost and a lot of other Gene Stratton-Porter books but never heard of this one. Good luck with the spin!
ReplyDeleteYes, apparently it is Non-fiction. Amazon says it is a - A study of a swamp area in north-eastern Indiana. Gene Stratton-Porter, 1863-1924, was a naturalist, photographer, and writer. This book is derived from her "Moths of the Limberlost, with water color and photographic illustrations from life" published in 1912 by Doubleday.
DeleteI am quite excited to see your #20! I should have added that one to my list. :)
ReplyDeleteOh, my...if the spin is #12 I certainly hope you have a much better experience with Lessing than I did! :) Love your choice of Porter and Wilder!

ReplyDeleteThis a marvelous list! Austen and Fitzgerald are favorites of mine. I hope you enjoy whatever you end up reading!
ReplyDeleteSome lovely titles in your list.
ReplyDeleteI got Silent Spring a couple of spins ago. It's dated but still very thought provoking.
Good luck tomorrow
